Teams for the quiz must complete your registration fees for all 3 days before submitting your names for the quiz.

All 3 team members must come from the same institution (hospital) before the 20th April 2024.

Teams can come from Ministry of Health hospitals or universities including private universities.

It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I extend a warm welcome to all participants of the 53rd Malaysian Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting, scheduled to take place in the captivating city of Kuantan from 23rd to 25th May 2024.

This annual gathering is a hallmark event in our calendar, uniting orthopaedic surgeons and medical professionals from diverse subspecialties. As President of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association, I eagerly look forward to seeing all orthopaedic surgeons and healthcare personnel come together to share their wealth of knowledge, experience, and insights. It is through such collaborative endeavours that we continue to push the boundaries of our field and provide the best possible care to our patients.

We firmly believe that the comprehensive program curated for this meeting will prove to be a valuable resource for all attendees. From enlightening lectures to hands-on workshops, lively discussions to networking opportunities, we are confident that this event will serve as a source of professional growth and enrichment for everyone involved.

Our association has always held the role of being the primary body for orthopaedic surgeons in Malaysia, regardless of their subspecialty affiliations. We take pride in fostering collaboration, facilitating knowledge exchange, and ensuring that the collective wisdom of our orthopaedic community benefits all.

I would like to take this opportunity to recognise the outstanding contributions of two exceptional individuals who have played pivotal roles in organising this esteemed event. Dr. Gandhi Nathan Solayar, our Organising Chairman and Assoc Prof Dr. Ahmad Fadzli Sulong, our Scientific Chairman. They have curated a program designed to ignite our passion for orthopaedic excellence. We are grateful for their dedication.

As you engage in the various activities and discussions throughout this Annual Scientific Meeting, I encourage you to seize the opportunity to learn, connect, and rejuvenate your commitment to orthopaedic care. The Malaysian Orthopaedic Association is here to support and guide you in your professional journey.

On behalf of the organising committee, it is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association’s 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting.

Dear friends and colleagues,

The meeting this year will be held in the city of Kuantan, Pahang where delegates will be able to engage in an intellectual journey through the latest developments in the field of orthopaedics, all the while indulging in the scenic splendors of the east coast of our magnificent peninsular.

The MOA remains the largest representative body for orthopaedic surgeons in this country and this meeting will bring together participants, educators and industry alike with the theme “Leading Malaysian Orthopaedics into the Future”. It is an exceptional opportunity for our younger colleagues to absorb knowledge, engage in insightful symposia, and glean wisdom from the array of plenary lectures and vibrant activities scheduled throughout the event, all aimed at enhancing their abilities for the years that lie ahead. The meeting will have a focus on trauma as will be adjudged by the more discernible of us from the logo of this meeting.

The scientific committee has been untiring in planning an educational and enjoyable programme for delegates in the form of lectures, quizzes and presentations throughout our time in Kuantan. We will have the honour of hosting and learning from renowned speakers both locally and internationally to help each of us in our work as good orthopaedic surgeons. We look forward to having the latest in cutting edge orthopaedics being showcased by our industry partners for the benefit of all delegates in improving themselves for the future.

Furthermore, I would like to extend an invitation to bring your friends and family to savour the cultural and social aspects of our programme, as well as the natural beauty and culinary delights of Kuantan, which is known for its sumptuous east-coast cuisine and exquisite beaches. I for one will have my bicycle at hand and a fellowship ride awaits those who are cycling enthusiasts, providing a delightful culmination to our event.
